Dr Hitendra Singh Tanwar

Deputy Head of Program Development LMM UK, Consultant Acute Medicine

Dr Tanwar is Consultant & Educational Lead in Acute Medicine department at William Harvey Hospital Kent UK. He has been awarded Fellowship from Royal College of Physician London for his National & International work in field of clinical medicine.

His field of interest are metabolic cardiology, Anticoagulation and endocrinology. He has done his post graduate clinical certification program from Joslin Institute of Diabetes & Harvard Medical School America with extensive interest in diabetes focused on south east population including pregnancy. He is a renowned Fellow/International Associate/Member of prestigious international colleges including American College of Cardiology.

He takes keen interest in development of clinical medicine as associate program director of LMM with London Metropolitan Medicine and popular National Speaker in various international conferences. He is also officiating Associate College Tutor in medicine and actively engage in medical teaching including online RCP Edinburgh program. He represents zone Faculty and QIP program supervisor for Kings College London. He is a panelist for Health Education England, & passionately contributes various roles in recruitment and examinations.
He has contributed significantly in development of master classes in anticoagulation and designed a very evidence based medicine updates & certification module program. He has pioneered the online educational reformation during COVID pandemic taking social/digital platform as powerful communication tool.

His Sunday Roast program has changed the way of medical teaching and learning across all grades of trainee.
He is editorial & peer review committee member of reputed international journals including BMJ. He has multiple International publications. His case publications have received various awards. He is also felicitated as best doctor of the year in 2017 by Ministry of Health India.

Dr Tanwar brings NHS a record of exceptional leadership and strategic vision with role like Associate Site Lead [Medicine] National Coordinator and chairman of health boards. Under his strong leadership EKHUFT has got good international recognition and strengthen the clinical networking.
