Mike Bird
LMM Medical Law Tutor & Speaker
Mike Bird is a highly experienced specialist serious injury lawyer. He is also an Assistant Coroner in the East Midlands, investigating unnatural deaths and conducting inquests. He represents groups of claimants, including over 200 women injured by the infamous Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Rob Jones at Royal Cornwall Hospitals 1991-2012.
Mike graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1989 with a law degree and since 1997 has been recognised as a ‘leader in the field’ by Legal 500 and Chambers UK legal directories. His appointments portfolio includes Assistant Coroner Derby 2003, Assistant Coroner Plymouth, Torbay and South Devon 2017 and AvMA Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel member. He is also an Accredited Specialist Panel Member and Senior Litigator. Mike made The Lawyer “Hot 100” in 2017.
